Jenn and John had a picture perfect June day for their wedding at Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank. The weather was sunny but not hot, and there was not a touch of humidity in the air.
After ceremony finished, the guests adjourned to bar and the deck, where they enjoyed a great view of the Navesink River, Red Bank, Fair Haven and Rumson. They had music from our trumpeter and keyboard player.
During the announcements, the groomsmen made a great summer impression, wearing special custom made checkered shoes for the occasion. John and Jenn danced their first dance to Keith Urban’s “Making Memories of Us”. Jenn then had a turn on the dancefloor with her mom to Carrie Underwood’s “Mama’s Song”.
After 1st course, the jitterbuggers really got going with a medley by the band that included “Rock This Town” (Stray Cats), “Shake Rattle and Roll” and “Rock Around The Clock”. Special requests of Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” and Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” performed by the band were also big hits with the crowd.
After the Viennese table, 2 of the guests sat in with the band: Andrew on drums and Anthony on guitar and vocals. They did a spirited rendition of Chuck Berry’s “Little Queenie” that the crowd ate up. After a high energy set, we closed out the evening with our version of Garth Brooks’ “To Make You Feel My Love”.
