Sheila and Kevin, 9/7/07
On Friday September 7th, the Smokin' Section visited the Westmount Country Club, perennially one of Northern New Jersey's most popular banquet facilities and party spots. Audrey and Alex, 7/31/09
Alex and Audrey had a rainy day for their wedding, with torrential downpours happening off and on throughout the afternoon. Their ceremony had originally been scheduled on the deck overlooking the river outside the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson, but it had to be moved to the Ballroom upstairs. Heavy rain had been predicted for the Jersey Shore area for the night of Laura and Adam’s wedding reception. On September 20th,‘08 the Smokin’ Section took a “road trip” to Saratoga Spa State Park in the historic upstate NY town of Saratoga Springs. The bride and groom had amazing weather for their big day. The Smokin’ Section returned to the Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club for the first time in about 5 years to play at Marion and James’ wedding reception. Erika and Anand, 6/7/08
The Smokin’ Section took a road trip to Merion, Pa to help Anand and Erika celebrate their big day. The couple resides in Hoboken, NJ and saw us at a showcase in North Jersey the year before.It had been quite a hot day, but some of the sizzle and high temperature was out of the air by the time the band arrived at the Merion Tribute House that evening. It was a dark and stormy afternoon and night, but the inclement weather did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm and high spirits of Matt and Nicole’s guests for their big day. The country setting of the Catlin Gardens (located in Orange County, New York about 45 minutes from both the top of Jersey and NYC) provided a beautiful backdrop for Matt and Nicole’s ceremony, definitely taking advantage of the sweet autumnal colors of New York State.. Planning a wedding takes a lot of work under almost any circumstances, but it can be especially challenging if you don’t live in the area where the ceremony and reception will be taking place.
