On a comfortable Mid-March evening (with a slight drizzle), the Smokin’ Section ( NJ wedding band / party band ) made their first visit to Morris County’s MeadowWood Manor.   Lauren & Lonny had our trumpet and flute provide the set up and processional music for their reception and they chose 2 classics: Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” and “Trumpet Voluntary”.  For their recessional, Lonny & Lauren chose something a bit different: Tweezer’s “Reprise”.

Once cocktail hour was over, Lonny & Lauren danced their first dance to our version of Flaming Lips’ “Do You Realize?” (a special request for the evening’s party).  Lauren then danced with her dad to the Temptations’ “My Girl” and Lonny had his turn with his mom on Kenny Rogers’ “Through The Years”.

The bride & groom and their guests loved their Classic Rock (Beatles, Rolling Stones, Van Morrison), but also dug contemporary dance hits.  The bride and groom are also big Jam Band/Phish fans and we learned Phish’s “Waste” as a special request and also peformed “Weekapaug Groove” for all the Phish-heads in the house.  Another special request for the eve was Pearl Jam’s “Just Breathe”
